Milwaukee Excellence Charter School
Milwaukee Excellence Charter School short film is about Maurice Thomas who challenges the status quo of the education system in the most segregated city in the nation to prove that African American children can excel with a rigorous curriculum and his formula of teaching character traits of focus, integrity, respect, self-determination, and being a team. His goal is that 100% of his students will perform above grade level and get accepted into college. He started with 6th graders and will add a grade every year until he reaches 12th grade. In 2019 he was rated the number one school in Milwaukee academically.
